Statue of Alexander III outside the main entrance to the Marble Palace. The statue is by sculpture Paolo Trubetskoy, who famously quipped that is 'simply depicted one animal on another'.
Monument to Paul I in the central courtyard at Mikhailovsky Castle. (Installed in 2003, sculptor Goreva VE, architect Nalyvayko VI).
The Bronze Horseman is a statue of Peter the Great in Senate Square on the banks of the Neva river. It took 12 years, from 1770 to 1782, to create the statue, including pedestal, horse and rider. The blue building in the background (on the opposite on the Neva river) is the Museum of Antropology and Ethnography.
