Jerash - The North Theatre, built in about AD 165 for government meetings rather than artistic performances. It has been magnificently restored and holds about 2000 people.
Jerash - The stage of the South Theatre, with a Jordanian Scottish band playing bagpipes and drums, and Egyptian school group playing along. The acoustics within the theatre were very impressive. This was the main artistic theatre in Roman Jerash. It was built between AD 81 and 96, and could seat 5000 people.
