Petra - The Urn Tomb - Natural rock patterns within the interior room of the tomb.
Petra - Royal Tombs - These very weathered tombs are the Corinthian Tomb (right) and the large Pacae Tomb (left). The top level of the Corinthian Tomb are similar to the Treasury.
Petra - The Theatre - Originally built by the Nabataeans over 2000 years ago, the Theatre was cut out of the rock and could originally seat 3000 people in 45 rows. The Romans later expanded it to hold 8500, or around 30% of the population of Petra. To make room for the upper seating tiers, the Romans sliced through pre-existing tombs which can be seen at the top. The Theatre was badly damaged by an earthquake in AD 363.
