Petra - The Colonnaded Street that forms Petra city centre.
Petra - Another view of The Colonnaded Street. This was built in about AD 106 by the Romans over an existing Nabataean thoroughfare. The columns were of marble-clad limestone and originally lined a 6m wide paved carriageway with shops on either side.
Petra - The end of Colonnaded Street and the Temenos Gateway (on the right). Above the street, up the steps, are the remains of the Great Temple.
