Abu Simbel - The Temple of Hathor - This temple was built by Ramses II to honour his wife Nefetari, and is dedicated to the goddess Hathor. The temple is a smaller version of Ramses' own temple and is fronted by six statues, each 10m high. Four of the statues represent Ramses II and two represent Nefetari who is, unusually, portrayed as the same height as her husband (in most representations she is depicted only coming up to his knees).
Abu Simbel - The Temple of Hathor - four statues of Ramses II and two statues of his wife Queen Nefetari. The couple are flanked by smaller statues of the Ramessid princes and princesses at their feet.
