Thebes (Luxor West Bank) - Deir al-Medina (The 'Workmens Village') - Workers tomb capped by a small pyramid.
Thebes (Luxor West Bank) - Colossi of Memnon - These two statues of Amenhotep III sitting on his throne, with his wife at his feet, are each 18 metres tall. They originally guarded Amenhotep's mortuary temple - thought to have been the largest ever built in Egypt - but this was plundered for building material by later pharaohs and was eventually destroyed by the annual floods from the River Nile.
